Bill Panitch is a long-time collector and dealer, appointed in 1993, to the Presidential Advisory Committee of the American Numismatic Association, the world�s largest numismatic organization. He has also served on the board of directors of The Industry Council for Tangible Assets (ICTA), a national dealer trade organization. He is a frequent speaker on a variety of numismatic subjects, a magazine columnist, and has served on the adjunct faculty of the State University of New York as instructor in numismatics. Panitch has been involved in numismatics since presenting a talk on the subject of mint errors to the Albany Numismatic Society in 1962, at eight years of age. As a dealer and appraiser, he has been active in the hobby since 1976. He is also a contributor to The Redbook, the popular guidebook of United States coins published annually for over fifty years, with over 20 million copies sold. He served as staff grader/consultant to Hallmark Grading Service and Compugrade, as well as Conciliation Chairman for the National Association of Numismatic Advertisers.
